Book Review: Unlucky Chumki

Hey friends! Today I am going to review the hOle book “Unlucky Chumki” written by Lesley D. Biwas. (Illustrations by Anupama Ajinkya Apte, published by Duckbill) The main characters in the story are Chumki, Aki (her little brother), Dadi (her Dadi), Bina, Anju, Raga (her friends) and Kanti Kaka.

The story is about a girl named Chumki. The book’s blurb says, “Everyone says that Chumki is unlucky and makes things go wrong with her ‘Magic’. No wonder she has no friends! Can her brother Aki with his plan help Chumki make friends?”

This is what I think about the book:

“Unlucky Chumki” is humorous and is of course it is very fun to read! According to me, the story goes pretty fast. I really liked the way the author expressed all their feelings. The illustrations look exactly like how the author has written in the book. It was so good that I could imagine the story in front of my eyes!  I found Chumki to be a person who doesn’t give up and I think Aki is a fun-loving, clever boy. I really enjoyed reading this story about Chumki’s and Aki’s plan and how they go about doing it!  I hope you will enjoy reading the book too!
